I’ve always loved wearing denim and am completely guilty of embracing the double-denim fashion of the 70s and 80s. Don’t judge, many of us succumbed… even if not all of us admit it!
I love working with denim. It’s such a familiar, easy material, but it also offers a lovely contrast when paired with something softer.
For this piece, I wanted to introduce something a little more delicate and feminine, and the pink floral lace felt like the perfect balance. It softens the denim beautifully while still allowing the relaxed, slouchy nature of the bag to come through.
The lace follows the natural line of the bag, helping everything feel balanced and intentional. It’s a lovely example of how small details can completely change the feel of a piece.
This is the kind of bag I imagine being used often. Easy to carry, practical, and just a little bit different.
I’ve called her Lily – soft, feminine and quietly romantic.
