I do love an excuse for a themed bag, and Halloween gives me rather more licence than usual to have a bit of fun!
This one started with that fabulous orange organza bow. With its black cobwebs and tiny spiders, it was never going to be allowed to sit quietly in the background, so I decided to embrace the drama and make an oversized bow the main feature of the bag.
The bow can be unclipped from the bag and worn as a Halloween hair accessory too. I rather like an embellishment that can earn its keep in more than one way!
The “Spooky Season” wording was created using my Cricut machine and cut from orange and black vinyl. I particularly liked layering the flowing black lettering across the orange, with a tiny spider providing the finishing touch.
There’s absolutely nothing subtle about this one but then I’m not entirely convinced that Halloween calls for subtlety. Sometimes a bag just needs an enormous orange bow covered in spiders!
No lady’s name for this one. She already told me what she was called – Spooky Season.

This Halloween jute bag features an oversized bow created from sheer orange organza ribbon patterned with intricate black cobwebs and tiny spiders. The translucency of the ribbon allows the pattern to build in intensity where the fabric gathers and overlaps, creating plenty of dimension against the natural jute.
The bow is designed to be detachable, simply unclipping from the bag when required. Once removed, it can also be worn as a playful Halloween hair accessory, giving the embellishment a second use beyond the bag itself.
The seasonal “Spooky Season” design has been created using a combination of orange and black Cricut-cut vinyl. Bold orange lettering provides the main statement, while flowing black script and a tiny spider motif add contrast and playful Halloween detail.
The combination of natural jute, vivid orange and black gives the design its unmistakably seasonal character, while the dramatic bow provides movement, texture and a strong three-dimensional focal point.
