This is one of those pieces that instantly lifts your mood – bright as a daffodil… or at least something close! Not quite a daffodil, but then designs don’t always have to reflect true life. Let’s call it a little artistic licence.
Yellow always feels like such a happy colour to work with, and the sequin detailing catches the light beautifully, giving the flower a gentle sense of depth against the natural jute. There’s a real warmth and brightness to the design, which I wanted to keep at the heart of the piece.
The addition of the soft yellow heart charm ties everything together and adds a gentle finishing touch. I think this works beautifully as a gift bag for something celebratory, but it’s just as lovely reused afterwards. Perfect for adding a little brightness to everyday life.
I’ve called her Darcy – bright, joyful and full of that first hint of spring.
